Interior design from the 1960's and 70's is hip now. The newest trends  feature anything in acrylic: tables, legs, trays etc. Furniture finishes in white lacquer and gold are strong contenders. Slender lamps and lower chair backs complete the look. See below...

Large stylized gold ferns in the wall art create drama for this dining room by Williams Sonoma. Low backed dining chairs, acrylic table legs and the combination of chrome and gold is refreshing and bold. Very Mod!

Acrylic is everywhere as furniture and accessories and often combined with glass. Very 70's glam.  Collins bench  by Kravet.

I love this brass cube in "gold" by Interlude Home. It can be moved around where needed as an extra table or as a piece of sculpture.

The Campaign look is back and is especially appealing in white lacquer, with gold handles no less! Perfect as a night stand or as an end table in the living room. Savoy by Kravet

The Trend Setter table lamp by Currey is a fresh new interpretation of the Sputnik light. So original! The slender legged dining chair by Schumacher is a reproduction from a 60's chair my mother used to have. So I am partial to it. Another piece in white lacquer is the 70's Geo cube by Miles Redd for Schumacher. For that 60's look you can't miss with the tripod floor lamp in metal. By Currey.

Hang groupings of pictures in different sizes for the most up to date way to handle a large wall. It's more work but so much fun. Makes a real design statement. Furnishings by Hickory White.
