GLAMOROUS GRAY-SLEEK AND VERSATILE
GRAY might be considered a dark and gloomy color. But in the interior design world it is a versatile neutral and can be paired with many different colors. Gray is black with a lot of white added. It has a more soothing, elegant connotation.
Pictured here we see black and gray together with a splash of lilac added for drama. Grays look fabulous with the lilac/violet family of colors. This large scale houndstooth check is a very popular pattern right now, in clothing as well as fabrics for interiors. Note the herringbone throw lined with lilac. Love that menswear look. Fabrics by Kravet.
This contemporary pendant light is by Swarovski(yes, the jewelry people). Its precision-cut crystal prisms form an ellipse creating shimmer and elegance. And its halogen lights allow gentle mood lighting.Wow!
These small barrel chairs are very Art Deco done in textured gray with black contrast welt. By Artistic Frame.
More fabrics in gray and lilac. A great large scale herringbone pattern in silk. Love this updated linen with glittering circles called “Bling O”(aptly named). This little silk embroidered paisley has raised centers in chenille. The ultrasuede in lilac is actually washable. Fabrics today are so innovative and provocative. They inspire me and get my creative juices flowing on every interior design project I do.
